Version 1.2.2 Update: A Major Overhaul for Our Gamebook PDF

we have just released a new update for our gamebook pdf, which includes many improvements and fixes to make your gaming experience more enjoyable and immersive. Here are some of the highlights of the update:

  • We have clarified the rules for using the Oracle, which is a powerful tool that can help you generate random events and outcomes in your game. The Oracle uses the main deck unless told otherwise, and you can also use your own custom actions and envision them. You can find more details on how to use the Oracle on page 97 and page 109.
  • We have added more text and hyperlinks to guide you through the gamebook, especially on the Date of Birth playkit, which tells you how to choose your birthday and zodiac sign according to the game’s calendar system. - You can also find more information on the Oraclepedia, which is a handy reference for all the terms and concepts in the game world. You can access the Oraclepedia by clicking on the creature above the player guide.
  • We have made some adjustments to the layout and design of the pdf, such as moving the action table higher on page 28, changing the teal border to a more pastel color on page 60, and flipping the fox image on page 68. We have also fixed some typos and grammatical errors on various pages, such as page 106, page 118, and page 167.
  • We have removed some unnecessary or redundant content, such as the person on page 46, and added some new content, such as a rumor on page 98, a custom craft oraclepedia on page 203, and a randomizer for creature sighting, islander, rusling sound, and discover new landmark on page 130. We have also added some alternative options for some actions, such as asking for a rumor on page 103, choosing any item on page 104, and generating an interesting tidbit on page 141.
  • We have revised some of the rules and mechanics of the game, such as making the critical success more difficult on page 125, adding a requirement for crafting on page 116, and adding a reference to success in plot twist on page 126. We have also added some instructions on how to draw cards from the main deck for actions and how to discard them into the Fate deck. For oracle actions, you do not need to discard the cards and you can return them to the Main Deck and shuffle it.
  • We have switched the order of pages 133 and 134 to make the flow of the game more logical.
  • Many more minor updates
